This course is designed to meet the requirements for training in the use of Marine engineering at the support level, based on regulation III/4, Section A-III/4, Table A-III/4, in reference to the Specification of minimum standard of competence for ratings forming part of an engineering watch of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watch keeping for seafarers, 1978, as amended.Knowing what to do, when to do it and do it well, saves a life; thus avoiding complications and minimizing the risks of danger and pollution at sea. This being, clearly the essence of all seafarers who are on the high seas.That is why the structure of the course has been developed, seeking that the participant is competent and has the appropriate aptitude to develop the skills, abilities and perform within their tasks and functions on board engine room.
