1. Definitions
Training Courses – Short academic and vocational attendance-based courses for the maritime and yachting industry, as described in the published materials of TSTS GROUP, which TSTS GROUP has agreed to provide to candidates.
Candidate – An individual to whom TSTS GROUP has agreed to provide training courses.
2. Service Description
TSTS GROUP provides short training courses for the maritime and yachting industry, as well as for occupational health and safety. All training courses are subject to these Terms and Conditions and apply to each individual course booking. These Terms and Conditions are deemed accepted at the time the booking is confirmed through payment of the deposit. Any amendments to these Terms and Conditions must be agreed in writing between TSTS GROUP and the Candidate.
3. Candidate Rights and Obligations
Courses are open to all candidates who meet the entry requirements. Candidates with specific needs are encouraged to contact the TSTS GROUP office prior to the start of the course so that appropriate arrangements may be made. TSTS GROUP strongly recommends that all candidates who are considering a seagoing career and/or attending training courses for the purpose of obtaining a Certificate of Competency obtain a valid Seafarer Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent). TSTS GROUP shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or expense incurred if it is not possible to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or a Certificate of Competency due to medical limitations.
The minimum age to attend training courses is 16 years, except for the RYA Powerboat Level 1 course, which has a minimum age requirement of 8 years. Some courses require candidates to be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Maritime Authorities or other accrediting organizations. A valid photo identification document (passport or national identity card) must be presented on the first day of the course.
Courses with prerequisites or sea-time requirements may only be attended if such requirements are met. Supporting documentation must be presented on the first day of the course. TSTS GROUP shall not be liable if a candidate is unable to attend a course due to failure to provide the required documentation.
Courses that include a practical component require candidates to be in good physical condition. Candidates must complete a health declaration and inform the instructor of any medical condition that may affect their participation. For certain courses, a valid ENG1 medical certificate must be presented on the first day.
Most courses are conducted at TSTS GROUP training centers in Tirana, Durrës, or Orikum. Transportation to and from the training center is the responsibility of the candidate. TSTS GROUP shall not be liable for any incidents occurring during private transportation.
Visitors are not permitted at the training centers without prior authorization from the Course Manager.
Courses are delivered in Albanian, English, or Italian. Candidates must have a sufficient level of proficiency in one of these languages. TSTS GROUP reserves the right to remove any candidate who does not meet the required language level, without refund.
Attendance certificates are issued only upon presentation of valid photo identification.
The use of forged or falsified documents constitutes a criminal offence and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
4. Bookings and Payments
Course prices are published on the official website and displayed at TSTS GROUP offices. Prices do not include examination fees or documentation fees required by maritime administrations.
Bookings are confirmed only upon payment of a minimum 50% deposit. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 calendar days before the course start date.
Course materials are provided in electronic and/or printed format. Candidates are encouraged to bring electronic devices for study purposes. TSTS GROUP may act as a booking platform for third-party training providers, in which case the Terms and Conditions of the third-party provider shall apply.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- More than 30 days before the course start date: Credit issued for a future period
- 15 days or less before the course start date: No refund/Credit
Credits are valid for 12 months, are personal, and non-transferable.
No refunds apply to e-learning courses.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers, if available, are valid for 3 months and are non-transferable. They may not be used for examination fees or promotional offers. In the event of non-use, the voucher will expire and be forfeited.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights arising from or in connection with the training courses belong to TSTS GROUP, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Privacy
TSTS GROUP Training protects the privacy of candidates in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal information will not be shared without the candidate’s consent, except where disclosure is required by law.
General
1. Liability- TSTS GROUP is covered by appropriate liability insurance.
2. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the relevant competent court.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accepting them.
References to “You” mean the person who creates a Candidate Profile (as defined below) on the System or who
otherwise uses the System for employment purposes.
References to “We”, “Us” and/or “Our” mean TSTS GROUP, a commercial company registered in accordance with
applicable legislation, with its registered office and operations in Albania.
1. Definitions
Business Day – Any day (other than Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are normally open for business.
Candidate – Any person who submits information for use on the System.
Candidate Profile – The personal profile and any other information provided or uploaded by the Candidate, including
without limitation the CV.
CV – Curriculum Vitae or equivalent summary of the Candidate’s professional experience.
Potential Employers – Owners of vessels or yachts and/or captains, who may or may not be Subscribers to the System,
and who contact TSTS GROUP to request candidates’ CVs for potential employment.
Subscriber – Any person or entity subscribing to the System.
System – The online database maintained and operated by TSTS GROUP for crew recruitment services.
Vessel / Yacht – The vessel or yacht on which the Candidate may be employed.
2. Service Description
TSTS GROUP provides an intermediary / introductory service for candidates seeking employment in the maritime
and yachting industry. Candidates create a Candidate Profile on the online System, which is made accessible to
Potential Employers.
Any amendments to these Terms and Conditions must be agreed in writing between TSTS GROUP and the Candidate.
TSTS GROUP provides introductory and intermediary services only and is not the employer of the Candidate.
The employer shall be the vessel owner or a person or company designated by the owner and shall never be TSTS
GROUP. TSTS GROUP assumes no responsibility or liability towards the Candidate other than those expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions.
3. Candidate Rights and Obligations under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), 2006
To work as a seafarer, you must be over 16 years of age. There are restrictions applicable to candidates aged 16–18
years. Candidates within this age range may not work in the galley and additional employment restrictions may apply. Proof of age must be provided to TSTS GROUP.
TSTS GROUP does not charge seafarers any fees, directly or indirectly, for registration on the System in connection
with employment. The only costs that may be incurred by the Candidate are those required for medical certificates,
maritime certification, and national travel documents (such as a passport or seaman’s book), excluding visa costs,
which shall be borne by the potential employer.
TSTS GROUP will endeavor to assist the Candidate in seeking employment to the best of its ability and does not use any means intended to prevent or discourage seafarers from gaining employment, nor does it support discriminatory requests from employers.
To work as a seafarer, the Candidate must be medically fit. TSTS GROUP may require the presentation of a valid
seafarer medical certificate (ENG1 or equivalent), where required by the employer or applicable regulations.
The Candidate is responsible for ensuring that all information published on the System is accurate and up to date.
The Candidate warrants that their Profile, including the CV and certificates, is true and correct. TSTS GROUP reserves the right to verify documentation and to suspend or remove a profile if any information is found to be false or misleading.
The Candidate must provide employment references with up-to-date contact details and agrees that such references
may be contacted.
The Candidate agrees that, where required by a potential employer, security checks, criminal record checks, and drug or alcohol testing may be conducted and undertakes to cooperate fully.
TSTS GROUP will inform the Candidate, to the best of its knowledge, of salary, leave entitlement, onboard benefits, and the Candidate’s rights and duties. The Candidate is entitled to a Seafarer Employment Agreement (SEA) and must be given sufficient time to review it prior to signing.
TSTS GROUP maintains a complaints procedure in accordance with MLC 2006.
4. Candidate Profile
The Candidate agrees and gives full consent that:
(i) TSTS GROUP may distribute the Candidate Profile, including the CV, to Subscribers and third parties for security or verification purposes; and
(ii) such information may be used by those parties for employment-related purposes.
The Candidate has full access to update their Profile and warrants that only personal information is uploaded.
TSTS GROUP reserves the right to remove or amend any information deemed inappropriate, inaccurate, unlawful, or offensive.
If the Candidate does not update or access their Profile for a period of four (4) weeks, the Profile may be considered
inactive and may not appear in search results. The Profile may be reactivated at any time.
The Candidate may request temporary or permanent removal of their Profile by contacting TSTS GROUP in writing. TSTS GROUP may retain archived copies for legal purposes.
TSTS GROUP does not warrant the character or suitability of any Subscriber and shall not be liable for loss, failure
to secure employment, or any indirect or consequential damages.
5. Information on Processing of Personal Data (GDPR)
TSTS GROUP processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable data
protection laws.
Purposes of processing include:
Recruitment processes
Creation of candidate profiles and job alerts
Import of data from online platforms (e.g. LinkedIn)
Communication of information and assessment of suitability
Candidate Rights include:
Right of access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing
Right to object and withdraw consent
Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
Personal data shall be retained for a maximum of two (2) years, or less where required by law or specific
circumstances.
6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable law in force. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent court.
