Ship Handling and Maneuvering

(Section A-II / 1 of the STCW Code ’95) – The course for teamwork on the ship’s command bridge, through the use of the navigation simulator, focuses on the dynamics of behavior and teamwork between deck officers during use and coordinating their knowledge, experiences and equipment at their disposal, in order to achieve a high standard on maritime safety. The theme of this course also touches on positive changes to reduce management error while operating the ship.

Course Duration: 5 days

Attendance: Minimum 4 people per day

The course is designed for deck officers who may be responsible for conducting safe operations on various types of vessels.

The objective of this course is to provide positive resource management practices that support steering operations by increasing staff preparedness for the safe operation of the vessel.
