REQUIREMENTS TO FULFILL YOUR APPLICATION FOR PANAMA UNLIMITED YACHT CAPTAIN FOR PLEASURE CRAFTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

1. Application for Certificates and Endorsements for Seafarers (duly filled out and need to be signed by the
applicant on Black Ink).
2. One (1) Photo full color of 4 x 4 centimeters (shoulder and face exposed without hat and white background)
recently taken no more than six (6) months, the photo needs to be pasted on the application form.
3. Valid passport (Foreign) or valid identity card (Panamanian). [Original document].
4. Valid Medical Fitness Certificate according to the Regulation I/9 of the STCW´78 as amended, and MLC 2006
(original document).
5. The applicant must hold at least a:
5.1 Valid Certificate of Competence as Chief Mate (Reg. II/2) or Valid Certificate of Suitability, or License
as Yacht Mate/Yacht Skipper with 12 months of experience over 500 GT.
5.2 Employment Letter, requesting the position.
5.3 IMO 1.13- Elementary First Aid
5.4 IMO 1.19- Personal Survival Techniques.
5.5 IMO 1.20- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting.
5.6 IMO 1.21- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
5.7 Able Seafarer Deck Course, Reg. II/5 or Ratings Forming part of a Navigational Watch, Reg. II/4, or
Valid Certificate of Competence as Chief Mate (Reg. II/2).
5.8 IMO 1.25- General Operator’s Certificate for GMDSS
5.9 IMO 1.23- Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats.
5.10 IMO 2.03- Advanced Training in Fire Fighting
5.11 IMO 1.14- Medical First Aid
5.12 IMO 1.08- Radar, ARPA, Bridge Teamwork and Search and Rescue – Radar Navigation at
Management Level
*Certificate of Suitability: Document issued by a Maritime Administration that accredits for this position.
