Advanced Fire Fighting

(Section A-VI / 3 of the STCW’95 Code)
This course is designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention and is based on the IMO guidelines in Model 2.03.
The course provides an advanced level of training for all officers on board. This course covers training requirements for deck and engine room officers who wish to qualify for the Certificate of Competence in this function. This course module also meets the needs of seafarers in other positions, who are engaged with the task of controlling firefighting operations.
Course Duration: 3 days
Attendance: Minimum 4 people per day
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should possess a better knowledge of firefighting operations control aboard the ship, the effects on ship stability from water fire extinguishing, the organization and training of fire crews, also investigating the compilation of reports on incidents caused by fire, etc.
