Ratting Forming Part of Watch in a Manned Engine-Room

(Section III / 4 of the STCW’95 Code) The qualification according to this course determines the minimum standard of competence for ordinary seafarers engaged in the duty of observing the engine room, maintaining the proper water level and steam pressure (boiler) in a vessel with propulsion power of 750 KW or more.

Course Duration: 2 days

Attendance: Minimum 4 people per day This course is designed to equip the seafarer with operational skills, technical knowledge and stay methods when conducting engine room surveillance, in accordance with the requirements of the STCW Code and IMO regulations. This course module covers the basic competencies needed to perform the task of observing and monitoring the water level and steam pressure, in the ship’s engine room.
